If you are interested in working with a program that has a lasting positive effect on youth, you might want to volunteer with us! All Stars recognizes the importance that supportive and consistent adult role models play in the lives of youth. After-School All-Stars of Greater San Diego utilizes volunteers in several capacities:
1. Program Volunteers: You can work with youth as a tutor in various academic subjects, or provide arts and craft activities, or coach with our sports programs. As an adult, your expertise and wisdom are invaluable to youth. Potential volunteers should have the time and availability to provide consistency in their service with the youth in the programs.
2. Office Administrative Support: If you have a few hours a week to spare, you might want to assist in the All-Stars office working alongside office staff. Duties vary and may include data input, filing, making copies, and organization.
3. Program Support: If you have experience working in the non-profit sector with program design, evaluation and implementation, you may want to share your ideas with All-Stars. We are always looking for ways to provide more effective programs or to implement new strategies.
4. Sports Clinic: As a trained athlete, you can share your talent with youth at our Sports Clinics. Youth from both the Elementary and Middle school ages can benefit from your expertise. You may offer a one-time clinic or a series of clinics, depending upon your availability.
Thank you for your interest! All-Stars appreciates your commitment to helping youth and is looking forward to partnering with you to ensure successful youth programs.
If you would like to get involved with San Diego's After-School All-Stars program as a volunteer, please send us an email (Joelle@afterschoolallstars.org). Thank you.
